Friday News- May 1st
It is finally May! Only 18 more days of school! The class has an official countdown on the board. This week has been busy learning about chemical reactions, math, writing our narratives, and making invitations for the volunteer tea!
Our class trip has been set. We are going May 27-28th to Fun City in Burlington, IA. There are two adjoining rooms reserved already with a roll a way. It should be a great trip!
There are a lot of things coming up in May. Please read below!
- Parent/Teacher/Child Conferences May 14 (4-7:30)-15th(8-12). Call Marcia to schedule your time.
- Deadline to turn in Hop-A-Thon money is now May 6th.
- BGA Rummage Sale will be May 16th. If you have anything you would like to part with, please send it to school on the 11th. Also, please have it prepriced.
- Volunteer Appreciation Tea May 21 2:30-3:30 in the community room
- Miles' Graduation May 26th
- All School Picnic May 26th. This is Hawaiian Themed this year. If you have anything that fits the theme that we can borrow to use for decoration, please let me know.
- Family Math Night May 5th @ 6:30 in the community room.
- Learning Fair May 19 6-7:30pm. All students are encouraged to come share their work. We will be working on these projects at school for the next few weeks during selective time.
- No School May 15 or 25th
- Last Day of School is May 29th. There will be a 12:00 dismissal.
Please remember to return your Blooming Bucks sheets to school each Monday morning.
- Be sure to check out the new "What's Blooming" on the school's website. http://www.bgakids.net/
- Please keep collecting the box tops and soup labels. You may send them in any time and we will make sure they get put in the office in the boxes.
- No Book Report this month!
Upcoming Events
Cell Phones/MP3 Players:
Please help remind your child that cell phones and MP3 players need to remain in their lockers or pockets at all times. MP3 players will be allowed during Friday Fun and after school while waiting to be picked up.
